Hunger! hungery! no food to eat! empty stomach! begging to get some food material!
This all may be sounding you light and you may have passed very fast through it,why not we are among those who throw it away when fed fully, aren't we?
These days i am writing this in the times when whole world is almost locked down & inside their homes, the reason,i too got very much pricked by the data of how deaths occurr due to my wastage of food materials!! Yes,dear you read it right, deaths due to my wastage of food.what we say as BAED MEHNIE (rich people) in kashmiri(bead mehnie yie chie senan naa traveith).
Around 9 million people die of
hunger and hunger-related diseases
every year.Every 15 seconds a child dies of hunger,
Few days before,in my dark room, drenched in the thousands of nowhere,i was clicking this and that in the Google and got a view but i missed it in the pages and clicks, scrolled for a long time & found it......here is summarised what was written there
Kevin Carter,a news photographer and journalist, was born in Johannesburg,
South Africa, and grew up in a middle-class.
Carter shot an image of what appeared to be a little girl, fallen to the ground from hunger, while a vulture lurked on the ground nearby. He told Silva he was shocked by the situation he had just photographed, and had chased the vulture away. A few minutes later, Carter and Silva boarded a small UN plane and left Ayod for Kongor. In April1994,
Carter's photograph of a starving
Sudanese child being eyed by a vulture won the Pulitzer Prize for Feature Photography"It was a picture that made nearly every front page in the world, the one real photograph of the whole campaign.
After sometime He got several depressed when someone told him that there were two vultures in the photograph.you made one to flew away but the other vulture left the girl their to die.Carter committed suicide, and the suicide note follows as :-
" I'm really, really sorry.
The pain of life overrides the joy to the point that joy does not exist.
I am haunted by the vivid memories of killings & corpses & anger & pain
of starving or wounded children, of trigger-happy madmen, often police, of killer executioners ..."
Looking at myself,i feel nowhere
