Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up on one position of Research Associate (RA) in the project entitled “Economic upliftment of marginal farmers through revival, conservation and exploration of niche specific climate resilient rice biodiversity in temperate regions of Kashmir Himalayas” funded by ICAR under Emeritus Scientists Scheme. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the termination of the project/ scheme. The appointee shall have no claim for his permanent absorption in the University. The selected candidate has to work mainly at the Mountain Research Centre for Field Crops, SKUAST-K, Khudwani and other such areas falling in various districts of Kashmir valley.

Eligibility criteria:
Ph. Din Plant Breeding and Genetics/Bio- technology Or Masters degree in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Biotechnology With 4/5 years of Bachelor’s degree having 1st division or 60% marks or equivalent OGPA, with atleast three years of experience as evidenced from Fellowship/Associatehip/ Training/other engagements as circulated vide F.No. 2-9/2012-HRD dated 25-04-2014 and one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI)/ NAAS rated (4) journal as per OM SR/S9/Z-09/2018 of DST dated 30-01- 2019 Preference shall be given to the applicants having experience in Rice Crop
Upper age limit: 40 years for Men 45 years for women
Emoluments:Rs. 54,000/- per month + HRA for Ph.D holders and Rs. 49,000/- per month + HRA for Mas- ters degree holders.

The House Rent Allowance shall be given as per existing Central Govt rates applicable in various cities/locations where RAs are working in ICAR funded projects.
